Prof. Niels C. Riedemann, CEO
Prof. Riedemann received his M.D. from the University of Freiburg, Germany and spent several years in basic
science at the University of Michigan. He finished his training as General Surgeon at the Hannover Medical School
and received his professorship for experimental surgery. He specialised as Intensive Care Physician and currently
holds a position as Vice Director of Intensive Care Medicine at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. As one of the founders of InflaRx, Prof. Riedemann combines in-depth basic science experience and advanced clinical knowledge in the field of inflammation and acute care. His research has been awarded with several national and international awards (e.g. Hugo-Schottmüller-Award, Hans-Liniger-Award etc.) and he has received extensive extra mural funding. Prof. Riedemann is heading InflaRx as CEO since 2007.
Prof. Renfeng Guo, CSO
Prof. Guo received his M.D. degree from Norman Bethune Medical School in China. He did his post-doctoral training in the laboratory of Prof. Peter Ward in Ann Arbor at the Univeristy of Michigan. He has been a junior and senior faculty member at the University of Michigan since 2001 where he still holds an adjunct research associate professor position. He achieved over 50 high impact publications in the field of inflammation research. He holds an honorary professorship at Beijing Institute of Basic Sciences. As co-founder and CSO of InflaRx, Prof. Guo leverages his expertise in antibody research and inflammation, bringing together a worldwide recognized experience in the field of acute inflammation, sepsis and lung injury . Prof. Guo is heading InflaRx´ scientific development as CSO since 2007.
